What God Said to Me Today!

I generally start my day around 6:00 or 7:00AM..(moved it up a hour or so since my hubby retired last year). I love getting up early when the house is quiet (no television, no radio or flushing toilets); just me and the Lord and a few birds chirping outside the window.

I 've been getting Dr. Charles Stanley's  "In Touch"  devotional book  for a couple of years now and it is just chock full of godly wisdom.  Today, the scripture was Hebrews 6:13-16, with the topic:  The Rewards of Patience.  I had to chuckle.  I just visited a lovely senior yesterday who has had both a knee and hip replacement in the last year and confessed she complained to God, all through her recuperation.  She told me she knew God was teaching her "patience" Because He knew this was her area of Spiritual growth.  I can identify with her.  It's mine too!  Every time I get smug and start to cross it off my Fruit of the Spirit list...here comes another trial...or another blow up with my husband...or another bout of insecurity concerning the aging process....So God said to me this morning?   What's the Big  Hurry?  Don't you know I've got everything under control? Have I ever broken a promise?  I answered:  No, Lord,  quieted down for a little bit and
stayed in my PJ's all day long......Every once in awhile  You just got to Slow down and remember Whose in Charge of your day!

Let's Talk About this Morning After Pill

Okay, Sisters, how about all the brouhaha over the Morning After Pill (Plan B) being written into law and available to  teens under the age of 17?  Unless you've been under a rock for a few months, you've probably heard the debate.  Should this pill be available for teens 17 years old or should any "child" even as young as 15 years old have access without parental approval.  Should it be available OTC (over the counter) marketed beside the various condoms, spermicides, etc. or only through the pharmacy with proof of identification?

My heart is saddened and deeply sorrowful that our nation has come to this.  Is morality completely off the discussion table in America?  Forget about the advocates who are preaching that every woman has a right to decide what to do with her body, these are children who haven't even learned how to keep their rooms clean!!!   I mean are they really able to handle this type of responsibility? We all know how fierce the fight is, against a culture that continues to belittle our Lord and steals the innocence of our children, but do we dare give up? I say NEVER!!

I agree it's a "rights" issue-- I'm standing up for  the rights of our existing children and those of the many unborn  who will never realize their destiny.  Yes, it is a child, a human being, designed with divine purpose according to Psalms 139:13-16 " For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,  your eyes saw my unformed body.  All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

Let's pray and come up with some ways we can start reclaiming our rights as Christian parents.  Starting my list of things to do to combat the Enemy is:
