" But I have prayed for you that your faith should not fail, and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren."
(Luke 22:32)
Jesus has a word today for what you are feeling! It's not just for you but it is certainly designed to give the comfort you desperately need.
No doubt many of you are still dealing with unprocessed emotions (anger, sadness, and fear) from the recent political events! These emotions seek a place to thrive and rob us of joy. But Dear Ones, you and I must exercise a 'Fail Safe' faith if we are to survive what comes next!
The background of this Luke passage illustrates an impending crisis of faith in the lives of Jesus and His disciples. Jesus is facing the cross and His disciples fear and uncertainty! Jesus speaks to Peter, as He now speaks to us. in vs. 31 "Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat!"
What Does Satan's Sifting Look Like?
asked these questions: How could this happen? What went wrong? Whose at fault?
Those are the wrong questions. We should be asking: What is God saying to us?
is not only unhealthy but it is unbiblical! The bible is a very emotional book! Jesus wept
at the grave of Lazarus; He felt compassion for the sick and hungry; He got angry and
released it even turning over tables. But HE never sinned in thought or motive!

and pride) to give us a temporary sense of gratification and justice. The end result being
spiritual and often physical death. Click Here: James 1:14-15
Perhaps you are thinking, what's done is done and there's nothing more we can do!
That's just where the Enemy wants you! A Fail Safe faith says something different. It
tells us that we walk not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7); that there is nothing impossible
with God (Luke 1:37); and even this disappointment can be a catalyst for good things
to come (Romans 8:28-29) Our task is to take every thought he tosses our way
captive and turn it back on him! Click Here: 2 Corinthians 10:5
Going back to the Luke passage, Peter with every confidence declares to our Lord that he's ready for anything that's coming, even death... his faith is just that strong! Wasn't that our attitude a few days or weeks before the election? We declared it made no difference to us who got in! Our candidate of choice looked like a sure thing! And like the disciples thousands of years earlier, our Savior saw what we didn't...Christ followers with great intentions who failed when the time came. Ones who became angry with the outcome, forgot all those sermons on faith, and even slipped behind closed doors depressed and fearful of what is to come!
What "Fail Safe" Faith Looks Like!
All is not lost! CHRIST HAS PRAYED FOR US...so our FAITH HOLDS STRONG! Because we are:
still struggling a bit as EVIL takes a victory lap around the world! But Fail Safe
Faith teaches me that one day I will understand! All evil will be judged. (Ecc. 12:14)
matter how painful, it is only temporary. God still loves His people. He also
admonishes us as in the Luke passage that once we have gained strength from His
word we remember to strengthen others who may be struggling!

to me twice in two different devotionals this morning. This is a rare occurrence but I
am cautioned to stop and read carefully for God is speaking something powerful in
my spirit. CLICK HERE: Psalm 27:4-7 To dwell in God's house and to seek Him in
His temple (verse 4) does not mean"a church building"but a desire to be in God's
presence wherever we are! This is critical as we ALL navigate the days to come!
HOW'S YOUR FAITH? FAIL SAFE OR FLOUNDERING?
UNTIL NEXT TIME...
